Rapid Insight Predicts Future
A software-development company located in the Mount Washington Valley is helping companies predict the future. Rapid Insight Inc., founded by Mike Laracy, is developing software that can be used by companies to understand, explain and predict the actions of their customers.
"A company might want to predict which of their customers are going to switch from their product or service to a competitor's product or service," Laracy says. "To accomplish this task, the company needs to build a statistical model, but building one of these models can be a daunting task. Our software changes that by automating the generation of statistical models."
There is other analytic software on the market, Laracy says, "but there's nothing that automates the analytic process like ours does. "It takes the level down a few notches of what skills are needed to perform these analyses," he says.
